The main emphasis in the study is on the identification and valorization of important ecosystems and habitats, as well as individual species of plants, fungi and animals and their representation on international lists for biodiversity protection. They are classified according to the IUCN World Red List, the European Red List, the National Red List, the list of types of international agreements in the field of nature protection ratified by the Republic of North Macedonia, Council Directive 2009/147/EC (ex. 79/409/EEC) on the Conservation of wild birds and Council Directive 92/43/ EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora.
