The Study deals with the floral and faunal characteristics of the area, as well as the habitats, plant communities and landscape types. In terms of socio-economic characteristics, local communities in the immediate vicinity of the protected area and weekend settlements have been dealt with, as well as the purpose of the land and economic activities performed in the area in addition to the existing infrastructure, the use of the area for tourist and recreational purposes and the information educational activities. The main emphasis is on the identification of important ecosystems and habitats within the area according to national, regional and global criteria and on the identification of species of international, European and national importance, valorization and their representation on international lists for biodiversity protection. They are classified according to the IUCN Red List, the European Red List, the National Red Lists, the lists of types of international agreements in the field of nature protection ratified by the Republic of North Macedonia, Council Directive 2009/147/EC (ex. 79/409/EEC) on the Conservation of wild birds and Council Directive 92/43/ EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora.
